Regional Silver Medalist in 100 Meter Run - Sarah LuttrellThree CHS athletes will be making the trip to Austin for the State Track Meet on May 9th and 10th. Sarah Luttrell will compete in the 100 meter run; Abby Johnson will compete in the 400 meter run; and Charles Mason will compete in Long Jump. Sarah and Abby both finished 2nd in their races, winning silver medals and advancing them to the state meet. Charles finished 3rd, but his jump was long enough for him to earn the Wildcard spot and advance to the state meet.
Other regional qualifiers that competed last Friday and Saturday were Taylor Degrate in the 100 meter hurdles; Caleb Cobb in the 800 meter run; and Amelia Weatherton, Taylor Gaines, Taylor Degrate, and Sarah Luttrell in the Sprint Relay. Luttrell and Johnson also competed in the 200 meter run.
We are so proud of all of these athletes for their hard work. Good luck to the State qualifiers!
