UIL Medalists
Clarendon students compete at Canadian.
Clarendon High School sent 20 students to the Canadian Invitational UIL Academic competition and came away with a several medals and good performances.
Chesson S won the Science contest and led the team to the championship as Cedrick M, Riley S, Aubryanna P, and Hannah H also placed in the top nine students for the event. Senior Abby J medaled in Spelling and Vocabulary, winning the bronze. Philip M placed 5th in Computer Applications, Emilie T placed 5th in Literary Criticism, and Joseph J placed 5th in Accounting. Chance L was 6th in Calculator Applications and Taylor O was 6th in Poetry Interpretation.
The meet was attended by a number of large schools, including Perryton, Dumas, and Pampa. Coaches are ready for the final push towards district competition in late March, and hope to bring home medalists and regional qualifiers from that meet.
