FISH CAMP
Student Council provided Fish camp Aug. 14 for freshmen and new students. Students toured the high school, played games, and ate ice cream sundaes.

MS WALK
High student council sponsored the MS Walk this school year and participated in the MS Walk in Amarillo Texas at Caprock High on Saturday April 14th. We had 12 high school students, 5 junior high students, and a parent - Connie Wood join us in the walk. We raised $514.00 to donate to the foundation. |

| CHS student council had an awesome first semester. We started out the year collecting the campus trash, we've collected an average of two large bags of trash a week and one large bag of plastic bottles every three weeks. We organized the parade during homecoming week and the winners were Pre-K, Kindergarten, Third, and the Seniors!! Homecoming ended with a dance in the school cafeteria with over 100 students attending - our DJ was Trevor Leeper. The powder puff contest was our next event of the semester with the Sophomore class taking the WIN! Student council organized Red Ribbon Week for the last week of October - we had a dress up theme each day and provided the elementary with an AWARD WINNING & INFORMATIVE Carnival. We ended the semester with collecting & stuffing six boxes for Operation Christmas Child (3 boys & 3 Girls), stuffing two paper boxes full of Christmas presents for a boy and a girl from the Angel tree, and having secret Santa for the members of student council with a MERRY MERRY Christmas party at the Dronzek's home. The members ate a wonderful lunch and exchanged gifts. |

Student council is promoting a project for energy conservation. We will be recycling plastic bottles - we have two Coca cola recycling bottles. One is placed in the high school basement and the other one is placed in the breeze way between the high school and the administration building. The student council members have made boxes to place in classrooms for recycling paper. Please contact us if you have not received your recycle box. The boxes will be checked once per week if you need yours cleaned before that time please e-mail Mrs. Lewis.
