CHS UIL Students move on to Regionals
Thirteen Clarendon High School Students have earned the right to move on to the Regional UIL Academic Meet to be held In Odessa, TX on April 12-13. The students competed in the District Meet held March 28 at Clarendon College.
Gavin Word placed first in Number Sense and Computer Applications; Noab Elam was first in Editorials, second in Computer Applications, and third in Current Issues; Jaden Monds was first in Lincoln-Douglas Debate and second in Informative Speaking; Harm Drenth was second in Social Studies, third in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, fourth in Current Issues, and fourth in Spelling; Caton Grahn is an alternate for LD Debate; Kira Weatherton was third in Spelling and Vocabulary and fourth in Editorials; Marquis McGuire was first in Science, Chemisty, and Physics; Tessa Lutters was third in overall Science; Shylee Morrow tied for fourth in overall Science; Josiah Howard tied for fourth in overall Science and was second in Biology; Sophie Bilbrey was fourth in Social Studies; Trent Smith was second in Mathematics. Matthew Boyd was sixth in Editorials.
