Blood Saves Lives
Emily Johnson knows the importance of being a blood donor. Over the years Johnson has answered the call to give blood whenever the chance arises. In doing so, the CHS senior was honored last week with a certificate from the Coffee Memorial Blood Center that states "Be the reason that someone lives". Johnson also received the gift of a 'Blood Cord' that testifies to her willingness to give. She had to give at least six times to receive this acknowledgment and is responsible for saving 18 lives.
