GT Showcase

It has been a busy week for CCISD Gifted & Talented Students! The evening of May 1, thirty-four kindergarten through grade 12 students presented their Texas Performance Standards projects in the cafeteria. Project topics were vast, ranging from “Do Your Part for Art!” presented by several elementary students to various science, history, and design-related topics presented by the junior high and high school students. The Family & Consumer Science classes provided refreshments and did an excellent job as hostesses. Thank you to everyone involved in making the night a success!

On Thursday, May 2, eighteen GT students showcased their projects at the Region XVI Education Service Center “Gifted & Talented Best Practice Conference.” Ms. Duncan, Mrs. Elam, and Mrs. Shadle presented information about the district’s GT program design and services. It was a great opportunity to network with other GT professionals and students from across the region.
