Construction
Starting next Wednesday, February 25th, one block of 4th street between Koogle and Allen streets will be closed for approximately 3 weeks. The city has contracted with a company to tear out the old road and put curbing and a new road in. During the construction the intersection of 4th street and Allen Street, immediately to the east of the student parking lot will be closed.
What does this mean for staff and students?
Students will still be required to use their assigned parking spaces in the parking lot.
High school staff who park in the east parking lot will need to park in the JH parking lot starting Wednesday. There will be no parking in the east parking lot allowed. A few exceptions for medial reasons have already been discussed; please see your campus principal for details.
Staff (admin) will be moved to the south side of the student parking lot outside of the admin/technology building.
Cones will be set up going through the HS parking lot to ensure two lanes of traffic will be established. All traffic (staff and students) will enter from 5thstreet and proceed to the HS parking lot. Again, students must use their assigned parking space.
Due to the concern of the younger students near D-Wing we will not allow traffic through the yellow gates on the west end of the student parking lot.
As much as possible, please do not attempt to turn left from 5th street into the parking lot as this will cause congestion on 5th street.
